My Background

My life has always been split between high-stakes performance and raw creative expression. Before spending the last 14 years as a professional product designer, I grew up racing mountain bikes at the World Cup level and traveling across the globe. But the dirt was only half the story. Raised in Southern California, I was shaped by the intersection of the coast and the city—where the salty air of the surf scene meets the distorted energy of the LA music scene. The analog hum of a vintage tube amp and the smell of coconut surf wax is as much a part of my DNA as the split-seconds of a race. Stazen is the fusion of these worlds: extreme sports, coastal heritage, and the soul of a garage-born creative studio

The Expression

Stazen is my personal creative outlet—a space where I translate my surroundings into tangible gear. I let my curiosity guide the design process without being locked into a single box. Every graphic and every fit is an expression of the things that move me, from the topography of a high-alpine climb to the vintage aesthetics of mid-century surf art. I use this label to fuse 14 years of professional design discipline with the unrefined, "seek stoke" energy of the outdoors and self expression.

My Realization

As my career grew, I accidentally silenced the explorer within by trading "fun and free" for a sedentary professional life. A trip to Yosemite and the spray of Nevada Falls was my wake-up call. It reminded me that our surroundings are meant to be experienced, not just observed from a desk. Stazen is the result of that reclamation—a brand built for the athletes, the creatives, and the explorers who refuse to stay stationary.

The Mission

We exist to provide the tools for those who let their curiosity lead them toward freedom. Whether I’m designing a throwback climbing shirt or a surf-inspired graphic, the goal is to inspire you to reconnect with the natural world. You don't find zen by sitting still; you earn it through the endless pursuit of stoke.

Seek Stoke. Live Zen.
